Invisalign is the clear alternative to metal braces for adults and teens. With Invisalign, there are no brackets or wires — just clear, virtually invisible aligners that you wear over your teeth. As you replace each aligner every 1-2 weeks, your teeth gradually move — week by week — until they have straightened to the final position that Dr. Katie Joyce has prescribed.
You’ll visit Dr. Katie Joyce about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is proceeding as planned. Total treatment time averages 12 to 18 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from patient to patient. At the end of treatment, you’ll have a beautiful new smile!
One of the biggest advantages of Invisalign is that the clear aligners are nearly invisible, making them much more cosmetic than metal braces. Here are some benefits of having invisalign:
Since Invisalign aligners are removable, you can still eat all your favorite foods and brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene.
Invisalign aligners are made of smooth, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your gums like metal braces often do.
Wearing Invisalign is very discreet. Most people don't even notice you have it!.
Teen is an ideal treatment option for teenage patients who are self-conscious about their appearance and do not want to wear traditional metal braces. The aligners are custom-made to fit each patient's individual mouth and are designed to gradually move the teeth into the correct position. Treatment with Invisalign Teen typically takes between six and eighteen months, and patients will need to wear the aligners for at least twenty hours per day. Dr. Joyce is a highly experienced invisalign provider and has successfully treated many teenage patients. If you are considering invisalign for your teen, please call our office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Joyce.
